- Our Sharing Houseboat service offers an affordable way to experience the backwaters by booking a private room on a shared premium houseboat.
- To ensure the best experience for everyone, we allocate our boats daily based on total bookings (e.g., 14 booked rooms means you'll sail on a spacious 14-bedroom boat).
- We guarantee that every houseboat in our fleet is flawlessly maintained and matches the exact premium quality, amenities, and aesthetics shown in our pictures, even if the specific boat size varies.
- This flexible system allows us to keep our prices accessible without ever compromising on the experience you expect.
- To protect the privacy and comfort of all guests — couples and families in particular — male-only groups are not permitted on sharing houseboats. A maximum of 1 solo male traveller is welcome.

Air Conditioning (Category Specific)
- Deluxe Houseboats: Air conditioning is available exclusively in the bedrooms and operates from 9:00 PM to 6:00 AM.
- Premium Houseboats: Air conditioning is available in bedrooms on-demand from check-in to check-out.
- Luxury Houseboats: Features a fully glass-enclosed living area with centralized air conditioning throughout the cruise.
Cruise Schedule & Guidelines
- Check-in begins at 12:00 PM, with check-out scheduled for 9:00 AM the following morning.
- For safety and to respect local fishing activities, night cruising is prohibited. The boat anchors securely overnight.
- Special routes, such as Kumarakom round trips, are available subject to an additional fee.
Occupancy & Additional Guests
- Base rates are calculated on single or double occupancy per bedroom.
- Children up to 5 years of age stay free of charge.
- Additional guests can be accommodated for an extra charge.
Dining Policy
- Meals are prepared fresh on board using a fixed, authentic menu.
- Both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options can be arranged. Please communicate any special dietary requests prior to your arrival.
- Special arrangements like honeymoon cakes and floral decorations can be provided at an additional cost.
Seasonal Pricing Terms
- Tariff rates are subject to increase during major festivals including Onam, Diwali, Pongal, Vishu, and Bakrid.
- Peak season rates apply from December 20th to January 10th and will be notably higher.

Is my room private on a sharing houseboat?
Yes. You book your own private bedroom — just like booking a hotel room. Only the boat itself is shared with other guests.
Who can book a sharing houseboat?
Sharing houseboats are for couples and families. To keep every guest comfortable, male-only groups are not accepted, and at most one solo male traveller is welcome per boat.
How many guests can stay in one room?
The room price includes 2 guests, and each room can take up to 4. Extra guests are charged per person. Children up to 5 years stay free.
Which houseboat will we sail on?
Boats are allocated each day based on the total number of rooms booked — for example, 14 booked rooms means a 14-bedroom boat. Every boat in the fleet matches the quality, amenities and look shown in our photos, even when the size varies.
What's included?
Your private room and every meal on board: welcome drink, lunch, evening tea with snacks, dinner and breakfast. Drinking water is complimentary.
How is the price calculated?
Per room, per night. Weekend nights and major festivals carry a surcharge, and each night of a longer stay is priced on its own date — the booking widget shows the exact total before you send your request.
