Two adults, two children aged 8 and 12
Older children count as guests. On a 1-bedroom boat that is ₹9,000 plus two extra guests at ₹750 each: ₹10,500. For more room, a 2-bedroom houseboat is ₹13,000 with a bedroom for the children.
Six adults
A 2-bedroom boat with two extra guests: ₹13,000 + ₹1,500 = ₹14,500. A 3-bedroom boat gives every couple its own room for ₹18,000.
Ten adults
A 4-bedroom boat with two extra guests: ₹24,000 + ₹1,500 = ₹25,500. A 5-bedroom boat gives more space for ₹30,000.
Food for families
The cook makes everything on board from a fixed Kerala menu — rice, sambar, vegetables, fish fry and chicken curry, with idli or appam for breakfast. Vegetarian meals can be arranged, and you can tell us about dietary needs, such as a toddler's food or no spice, before you arrive.
Travelling with young children
If a whole night on the water feels long with toddlers, the 6-hour day cruise covers the same afternoon route and has you back at the jetty by 5:00 PM.
Travelling with grandparents
Deluxe bedrooms are air-conditioned only at night, roughly 9:00 PM to 6:00 AM. If older family members want to rest in a cool room during the afternoon, choose a Premium houseboat or add the full-time AC upgrade at ₹1,500 per bedroom per night.
