Our Alleppey houseboat location is Punnamada Finishing Point, on Punnamada Lake at the finish of the Nehru Trophy snake boat race track. Every houseboat and shikara we book boards here, and every trip ends here.

Check-in times by trip
- Overnight houseboat: board at 12:00 PM, back at 9:00 AM next day
- Day cruise: board at 11:00 AM, back at 5:00 PM
- Night stay: board at 5:30 PM, leave at 9:00 AM next day
- Shikara ride: at the time you book; 4:00 PM is popular for the 3-hour sunset ride

Getting to Punnamada
Share your arrival time with us on WhatsApp when you set off. If you are running late, tell us — the boat waits at the jetty, but houseboats cannot cruise after dark, so a very late arrival shortens your afternoon on the water.
What happens when you arrive
- Meet our team at the jetty and we take you to your boat.
- Pay the balance of your booking. You paid a 25% advance to reserve; the rest is paid at check-in.
- Board and meet the captain and cook. A welcome drink is served on board.
- The boat sets off across Punnamada Lake.
Shikara rides from the same jetty
The shikara rides we book also start and finish at Punnamada Finishing Point. If you are booking a shikara ride and a houseboat, you come to the same place for both: for example, a sunset shikara the evening before your houseboat, or a 4-hour ride the morning after you check out.
Leaving the boat
Overnight and night-stay guests are back at the jetty at 9:00 AM, day cruise guests at 5:00 PM. Plan onward travel from Punnamada around those times; a 9:00 AM check-out leaves the whole day free.
Arriving too late for noon?
If you cannot reach Punnamada by midday, the night stay lets you board at 5:30 PM on a boat already moored on the lake. You get dinner, the night on the water and breakfast.
Staying in Kumarakom?
The boats we book do not board in Kumarakom. You can come to Punnamada and add our Kumarakom round trip, which crosses Vembanad Lake to the Kumarakom side and back.
Where the boat goes from here
From Punnamada, houseboats cross into Vembanad Lake and on to the R Block and C Block paddy fields and the island canals. The houseboat route page goes through it stop by stop.

What time should I reach the jetty?

No. All the boats we book board at Punnamada in Alleppey.
