An Alleppey boat house for couples is simply our 1-bedroom houseboat: one bedroom with an attached bathroom, a living area and dining area, and a captain and cook — for the two of you only. There are no other guests on board.

Deluxe price for one overnight stay for two. Premium adds ₹3,000 a night. Weekends and festivals cost more.
What your night looks like
You step aboard at noon, and lunch is served while the boat heads out across Punnamada and into Vembanad Lake. The afternoon is yours on deck, drifting past the paddy fields and island villages. In the evening the boat moors near Kuppapuram village, and dinner is served on board as it gets dark. In the morning you wake on the water and have breakfast as the boat cruises back through the quiet canals, reaching Alleppey at 9:00 AM.

We can arrange a honeymoon cake and flower decoration on the boat, at extra cost. Ask for them when you book.
Deluxe or Premium for a couple?
On a Deluxe 1-bedroom boat, the bedroom AC runs from about 9:00 PM to 6:00 AM. On a Premium boat, for ₹3,000 more a night, you get AC all the time, upgraded interiors and a wider menu, with karimeen fry at lunch and tender coconut when you arrive. If you only want daytime AC, the full-time AC upgrade on a Deluxe boat is ₹1,500 a night.
Couples on a budget
If a private boat is more than you want to spend, a room on our sharing houseboat is ₹5,500 at regular-season rates. Your room is private, but you share the boat with other guests. See private vs sharing.
Choosing your dates
Each night is priced on its own date. Weekday nights cost less than weekends, festival dates such as Onam and Diwali can cost more, and late December to early January is the most expensive time. If your honeymoon dates are flexible, a weekday in the off season gives you the same boat for less.
Add a sunset shikara
For a second backwater experience, a 3-hour shikara ride goes through narrow village canals and out onto Vembanad Lake for the sunset, for ₹3,000 for the whole boat. Many couples do it the day before or after their houseboat night.
How to book
Send your dates on WhatsApp and tell us if it is a honeymoon or anniversary. A 25% advance holds the boat; the balance is paid at check-in.
